Can't wait! In two weeks I'll be on the Metolius river. And the new Blue Line will be on my back. I might even get to sneak out to the N. Santiam this week. Great net!!

Love the grip! It really accents the bamboo rod. JD was a super help in picking the correct grip and even did a bit of bore sizing, which was above and beyond. Every fly rod I make going forward will use this grip from Hellbender.
These rattan wrapped cork grips are wonderful On my bamboo builds and the grip is awsome

This is my second Hellbender net and I love this one as much as the first. The Speck is perfect for pursuing Brook Trout in Catskill and Adirondack Mountain headwaters. Excellent quality, distinctive looks, light and strong.

Wow, what a gorgeous net. I’m impressed with the rubberized nylon basket and how light and beautiful this flamed net is. The customer service was fantastic, as I tried to figure out the handle and basket size, it felt like I was part of the process. I already have my eye on another Hellbender net purchase.

Very cool net! I replaced a 15 year old net with this stylish, well built net made of light but super strong bamboo. The only improvement would be to add a quick release mechanism in order to easily remove the net from my pack without fiddling with the key ring thingies. Outside of that minor issue it is great.
Requested a longer handle on the upstream and got immediate response of we can do. Net was made and shipped in 3 days. I can't tell you how beautiful it is. It is amazingly light weight. Can't wait to get on the stream with it. It will see lots of action in AZ, NM and Colorado. Thanks for the quick response and beautiful craftmanship. This one was ordered as a gift, but will be ordering one for me soon!!!

This net is exactly what I was looking for. I was able to request the handle length, and the bamboo feels great in hand. This net feels like quality but is also light weight. I am very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend.

These nets are incredible, and the customer service is doubly so. I got to put my Hellbender High Sierra through the paces this past weekend in the Smokies. The net is incredibly lightweight, and absolutely gorgeous to boot. I fished for about six hours in pouring rain, and the net was submerged while I was taking pictures. There is no evidence of any water retention whatsoever. It's now one of my most cherished pieces of gear. Can't recommend enough.
The net looks great and is much lighter than I thought it would be, which is a great bonus. It appears to be very strong despite the light weight. I especially like how unique it looks compared to most of the modern, synthetic nets available these days.
I bought the upstream, and love it. It is unique and well made. I much prefer supporting small businesses like Hellbender. Such a better way to spend my money for a product handmade by people who use them, and care about the things they make.

I wanted a smaller net with a longer handle than I currently use. This beauty sure fit the bill and it's a functional art piece as well! Extremely light as well. Twelve inch handle work great. The first fish I landed with it was a frisky wild Spec in Tennessee. This net is a joy to own and use. I'd definitely do business with Hellbender again!

Took my new Hellbender net out to the lake after work and caught three small mouth bass on a streamer in the last twenty minutes of daylight. I was looking for trout but the net doesn't care what kind of fish you put in it, it's just there to help you land whatever you happen to hook into, and look amazing the rest of the time. Couldn't be happier with the build quality and finish. It was a little bigger than I imagined (hard to judge size based on pictures) but the generous opening and deep net is growing on me after using it. I like being able to keep the fish in the water without them getting out while I get myself together to take a photo or whatever, and the bigger opening makes getting the fish into it much easier. Fantastic product and well worth the money if you want something that you can be proud to own.
True work of art. No, it’s not carbon fiber, it’s bamboo. I purchased the Upstream 13x19” with the black full rubber deep basket, with the flameburst finish. This will be the perfect net for those 5+ pound trout. After recently struggling with landing some big trout because the net wasn’t deep enough I knew I needed to step up to something better, but after looking around I couldn’t find anything that was practical to carry like a normal net. Then I saw the Hellbender… it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Extremely happy with my purchase!!!
